Oil Production

How we produce oil

Every single day we challenge our targets regarding modern and high-performance oil production. In doing so we strive for optimum production methods on a daily basis.

At our plant in Neuss we use different oil seeds. Our oil mill turns rapeseed, linseed and sunflower seeds into oils, oil meal and press cakes. The plant oils are used both in the food industry and in the technical area, e.g. in oleochemistry when producing biofuels. Our oil meal becomes part of animal feed.

During the different production steps, further ingredients of oil seeds are put to additional processing uses, e.g. lecithin which is utilized as natural emulsifier for mixing fats and water in the food and cosmetics industries. All ingredients are used.

Prozessschema
  1. Our refined plant oil is used as food, in oleochemistry or for technical applications and is shipped in road tankers.

  3. The seeds are preheated, crushed and pressed.

  4. The raw plant oil is processed and refined in several steps.

  5. Lecithin is one of the substances won during refining.

  6. Presses constitute the central element of an oil mill. The oil is pressed out of the seed.
