C. Thywissen GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and strictly adheres to the data protection laws. On this website personal data will be collected only to the extent that is technically necessary. On no account will the data be sold or passed on to third parties for other reasons.

In the following you will get an overview of how we guarantee this protection and which kind of data are collected for which purpose.

Data processing on this website

C. Thywissen GmbH collects and automatically stores information that your browser transfers to us in the Server Logfiles. This information encompasses:

  • Type/version of browser
  • Operating system used
  • Referer URL (the site visited before)
  • Host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Server request’s time of day

These data cannot be assigned to any specific person by C. Thywissen GmbH and the data will not be associated with other data sources. In addition, the data will be deleted after their statistical evaluation.

Security of your personal data

C. Thywissen GmbH protects your data against unauthorized access, use or publication. C.Thywissen GmbH ensures that the personal information you store on this server is located in a controlled, safe environment without unauthorized access or publication.

Transfer of data

C.Thywissen GmbH will not transfer your data to third parties unless they are required for the conduct of business. The transfer of data is restricted to the necessary minimum. However, should C.Thywissen GmbH be required by law or by court order to do so, we will pass on your data exclusively to state institutions and authorities entitled to receive such information.

Cookies

In several places, the internet sites use so-called cookies. They help to render our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Matomo (former Piwik)

This provider uses Matomo, on open-source software for the statistical evaluation of user access. Matomo uses so-called „cookies“ which are text files that are stored on the user’s computer and enable an analysis of the use of the website by the user. The information governing the use of this website which is generated by the cookie is saved on the provider’s server in Germany. The IP address will be anonymized immediately after processing and before storage. Users can prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on their browser. The provider however would like to inform the user that in this case you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

Please note that in case you remove the cookies stored on your browser the piwik-deactivation cookie of this website will be deleted as well. In case you use another computer or another web browser, you have to repeat the deactivation procedure.

Google Maps

We integrate “Google Maps” services of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA into our website. The data processed there may specifically include IP addresses and location data of the users, however, these are not collected without their consent (as a general rule, within the scope of settings on their mobile devices). YouTube videos

We have integrated YouTube videos into our online service, which are stored on YouTube and are directly playable from our website. These are all integrated into the “extended data protection mode”, i.e. that no data about you as the user are transferred to YouTube if you do not play the videos. The data referred to in Section 2 may only be transferred once you play the videos. We have no influence over this data transfer.

By visiting the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding sub-site on our website. Furthermore, the aforementioned data are sent. This occurs, irrespective of whether YouTube provides a user account, through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged into Google, your data are allocated directly to your account. If you do not want the allocation to your profile with YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as user profiles and uses them for advertising purposes, market research and/or needs-based design of its websites. Such an evaluation particularly occurs (even for users who are not logged in) for the provision of needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You are entitled to a right to object to the formation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube, in order to exercise it.
